The top 5 startups will get the opportunity to pitch their business to the I.E.C.T Capital Partners and Hermann Hauser, one of the most influential and successful Venture Capitalists in Europe.
Requirements
- Do you have a highly scalable business model and a big market potential?
- Do you have a strong team?
- Is your startup in the fields of IT or new innovative technologies and/or services?
- Can you demonstrate traction in terms of first customers and market experience?
If you can answer all those questions with „YES“, then apply now! Deadline for your application is the 15th of September, 2016.
Out of all applicants, 10 startups will get the chance to present their business to a jury via Skype. The top 5 nominated startups will then pitch to the I.E.C.T. Capital Partners led by Hermann Hauser at Werkstätte Wattens in Tirol and get the chance to travel one week to Cambridge. During the get-together later on that day, the top 5 startups will gain valuable contacts to expand their network and meet the teams from I.E.C.T., CONDA, regional partners and investors.
Last year's challenge candidate shows how fast it can happen.
Anyline, the Tyrolean text recognition software, which has now settled in Vienna, got an six-figure range investment by Hermann Hauser a few weeks ago. With Anyline, any smartphone camera can import text and numbers in real time. This results in wide range of applications that are most interesting for companies.

I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser is an entirely private institution, not supported by any public funds, with the target to support entrepreneurs on their way to a sustainable and economical success.
The team around the founder and patron Hermann Hauser provides support for entrepreneurs with innovative and strong growing business ideas, from awareness-raising to commercial success. The service offer ranges from consulting, access to educational programs, technical expertise, mentoring and entrepreneurial networks up to financing and continuous support.
I.E.C.T. operates from Tyrol (Austria) and functions as a hub to regional, national and international networks. Entrepreneurs profit from an established infrastructure and access to a worldwide network, through the close cooperation of I.E.C.T with the Hauser Forum in Cambridge and the University of Cambridge.
Selection process
- The top 10 startups will be nominated by CONDA.
- The top 5 startups will be selected by the Jury after the Skype pitching-sessions.
- The winners will be choosen by the Board of Investors and Experts.
Timetable
- 15.9.: deadline for applications
- 20.9.: the top 10 startups will be announced on conda.eu
- 26./27.9.: presentations of all top 10 startups to the jury via skype
- 28.9.: the top 5 startups will be announced on conda.eu
- 7.10.: pitching to Hermann Hauser and I.E.C.T. Capital Partners, Werkstätte Wattens in Wattens, Tirol
